What is a qualified disc-type scaffolding

The surface layer of the disc-type scaffolding material has been subjected to high cutting temperatures during processing, and the processed surface contains a large number of defects caused by processing, so the surface hardness may even be lower than that of the unprocessed material. Non-professionals can easily be fooled, so what is a qualified disc-type scaffolding?

First, look at the appearance. The appearance quality of the accessories of the disc-type scaffolding structure should meet the following requirements: 1. The steel pipe should be free of cracks, dents, and rust, and butt welding of steel pipes is not allowed; 2. The steel pipe should be straight, and the allowable deviation of straightness should be 1/500 of the pipe length. The two end faces should be flat and there should be no bevels or burrs; 3. The surface of the casting should be smooth, without defects such as sand holes, shrinkage holes, cracks, and residual risers, and the surface sticking sand should be cleaned; 4. Stamping parts should not have defects such as burrs, cracks, and oxide scales; 5. The effective height of each weld should meet the requirements, the weld should be full, the welding flux should be cleaned, and there should be no defects such as incomplete welding, slag inclusions, bite meat, and cracks; 6. The surface of the adjustable base and adjustable bracket should be dipped in paint or cold galvanized, and the coating should be uniform and firm; 7. The surface of the frame rods and other components should be hot-dip galvanized, the surface should be smooth, and there should be no burrs, nodules, and excess lumps at the joints; 8. The manufacturer’s logo on the main components should be clear.

Second, measure the data
In addition to looking at the appearance, you can also use tools to measure whether the wall thickness and weight meet the standards:
When selecting, you can use a vernier caliper to measure the wall thickness of the scaffolding tube and disc to check whether the product meets the standards. The characteristics of inferior disc-type scaffolding are uneven material and many impurities. The density of steel is small, and the size is seriously out of tolerance. In the absence of a vernier ruler, it can be weighed and checked. Inferior disc-type scaffolding has many impurities. In addition, taking a steel pipe to knock on the disc of the disc-type scaffolding to see if it will break has also become a simple and crude way to distinguish.
