Common scaffolding can generally be divided into the following four categories:
1. Structural engineering scaffolding (referred to as structural scaffolding): It is a scaffold set up to meet the needs of structural construction operations, also known as masonry scaffolding.
2. Decoration project operation scaffolding (referred to as decoration scaffolding): It is a scaffold set up to meet the needs of decoration construction operations.
3. Support and load-bearing scaffolding (referred to as formwork support frame or load-bearing scaffolding): It is a scaffold set up to support the formwork and its load or to meet other load-bearing requirements.
4. Protective scaffolding: including wall-type single-row scaffolding for work enclosures and passage protection sheds, etc., which are racks set up for construction safety. The construction load and frame width of structural scaffolding are generally greater than that of decoration scaffolding, so they can be used directly for decoration operations after the structural engineering construction is completed. In structural and decoration work racks, the rack where workers are performing construction work is called the “work floor”.
