How to maintain industrial scaffolding for a longer service life

How to maintain industrial scaffolding for a longer service life? Maintenance and upkeep are critical to extend the service life of industrial scaffolding. ‌The following are some effective maintenance methods:‌

1. Establish and improve the system of receiving, recycling, self-inspection, and maintenance of industrial scaffolding workers and materials. According to the standards of who uses, maintains, and manages the scaffolding tools, implement a quota acquisition or leasing system and assign responsibilities to people.

2. Tool scaffolding (such as door-type frames, bridge frames, hanging baskets, and receiving platforms) needs to be maintained in time after dismantling and stored in matching sets.

3. Scaffolding in use (including structural parts) should be returned to the warehouse in time and stored in categories. When stacked in the open air, the site should be flat, well-drained, and covered with support pads and tarpaulins. Spare parts and accessories should be stored indoors.

4. Small accessories such as fasteners, nuts, pads, and latches used in industrial scaffolding are very easy to lose. Excess objects should be recycled and stored in time when supported. When dismantled, they should be inspected and accepted in time and should not be placed randomly.

5. Remove rust and prevent rust on the components of industrial scaffolding. Each wet area (more than 75%) should be painted with anti-rust paint once a year, generally twice a year. Industrial scaffolding fasteners should be oiled, and bolts should be galvanized for rust prevention. If galvanizing is not possible, clean with kerosene after each coating and apply anti-rust oil.

Through the above maintenance measures, the service life of industrial scaffolding can be effectively extended, and its safety and durability can be improved.
