How to distinguish between disc-buckle scaffolding and wheel-buckle scaffolding

Pan-buckle scaffolding and wheel-buckle scaffolding both belong to the domestic socket-type scaffolding family. They look similar on the surface. Friends who have not used pan-buckle scaffolding and wheel-buckle scaffolding may easily confuse the two types of scaffolding, but they do not know that they exist. Big difference! What is the difference between wheel-buckle scaffolding and disc-buckle scaffolding? Why is the disc-buckle scaffolding gradually replacing the wheel-buckle scaffolding? Let’s take a look at the difference between wheel buckle and plate buckle scaffolding.

Disk type scaffolding
The vertical poles of the disc-buckle scaffolding are connected by sleeves and sockets, and the horizontal poles and inclined poles are snapped into the connecting disks by pole-end buckle joints and connected by wedge-shaped pins to form a steel pipe support with an invariant structural geometry system. The buckle-type scaffolding support is composed of vertical poles, horizontal poles, inclined poles, adjustable bases, adjustable brackets, and other components. According to its use, it can be divided into two categories: formwork brackets and scaffolding.

Wheel buckle scaffolding
The vertical poles of wheel-buckle scaffolding are connected by sleeve sockets. The horizontal poles are connected by welding wedge-shaped straight plugs at the pole ends and inserted into the vertical pole connection plates. The horizontal poles and vertical scissor braces are fixed with fastener-type steel pipes and vertical poles or horizontal poles, forming a Template stand. The wheel-buckle scaffolding is based on the fastener-type scaffolding, changing the connection method of vertical and horizontal poles and vertical poles to a self-locking form of roulette and latch.

Five differences between disc-buckle scaffolding and wheel-buckle scaffolding

First, different births
Disk-type scaffolding: Disc-type scaffolding was introduced in European and American countries. It is the mainstream scaffolding connection method in the world and is an upgraded product of scaffolding.
Wheel-buckle scaffolding: Wheel-buckle scaffolding is a scaffold with general performance and is a simplified product of plate-buckle scaffolding.
The disc-type scaffolding is an advanced technology imported from abroad, while the wheel-type scaffolding is derived from China and is currently only officially recognized by a few regions.

Second, the appearance is different
Disk-type scaffolding: The vertical pole accepts the faceplate with 8 holes, 4 of which are equipped with diagonal braces, and the surface is hot-dip galvanized.
Wheel-buckle-type scaffolding: The vertical pole accepts the faceplate with 4 holes, no diagonal support holes, and the surface is painted.
The appearance of the disc-buckle scaffolding and the wheel-buckle type scaffolding are the same. The biggest difference between them is the position of the faceplate. The disc-buckle scaffolding has 8 holes, and the wheel-buckle type scaffolding has 4 holes. The second is the surface technology. The plate-buckle scaffolding is hot-dip galvanized, while the wheel-buckle scaffolding is painted. It needs to be renovated after a period of use, and the plate-buckle frame has a more beautiful appearance!

Third, different compositions
Pan-buckle scaffolding: All components of the pan-buckle scaffolding are made of low-alloy structural steel (national standard Q345B).
Wheel-buckle scaffolding: The components of wheel-buckle scaffolding are generally made of carbon steel (national standard Q235).
The material strength of the disc-type scaffolding is about 1.5 times that of the wheel-type scaffolding. All components adopt hot-dip galvanizing anti-corrosion technology, which has high strength and anti-corrosion and long service life.

Fourth, different construction methods
Disk-type scaffolding: The node connection method adopts a plug-type connection method, with built-in diagonal braces and a perfect shape.
Wheel-buckle scaffolding: The node connection method is a coaxial core socket, and the nodes are connected in the frame plane.
The design features of the buckle-type scaffolding are more advanced, allowing the force transmission of each rod to pass through the node center, making it safer to use!

Fifth, different scopes of application
Pan-buckle scaffolding: Due to its stabilization system, the pan-buckle scaffold can be widely used in outdoor high formwork and high load-bearing structural support systems! It can be used on all occasions such as municipal bridges, water conservancy, electric power, and housing construction. Due to its high load-bearing performance, it is overkill for general indoor support frames.
Wheel-buckle scaffolding: Wheel-buckle scaffolding is generally only suitable for low-rise indoor support formwork.
Wheel-buckle scaffolding is mostly used for indoor support in housing construction projects due to its structure. The plate-buckle scaffolding has its inclined rod, which has better stability and unlimited scope of application!
